Mladen Mladenov is 9 years old. After a domestic accident with explosion of a propane tank the child had burnings. He had operations and skin auto-transplantations. His mother applied for financial aid for the next transplantation. The Fund responded by donating BGN 1,000.


Kaloyan Dobrev is an 11-year-old boy, who has poor eyesight in both eyes. In 2009 he was examined by Russian specialists and underwent an operation for cataracta removal. With financial aid by "PROtegni raka" another operation is to be made, which will hopefully improve the child’s eyesight.


Gergana Chifchiiska is 15 years old with deafness diagnosed at an early age. Thanks to the cochlear implant the girl feels better and goes to regular school. The parents applied to "PROtegni raka" for funds to finance the purchase of a new esternal unit of the hearing device, which is costly. The amount of BGN 1,000 was granted in favour of Gergana.


Ivan Rumenov is 4 years old. He shows lags in the development of his motor function and expressive language development and that is why he needs weekly sessions with a speech therapist. In response to his mother’s request for help for the child’s treatment, "PROtegni raka" granted BGN 1,000.


Gospodin Radev is 10 years old. He is diagnosed with autism and is recommended regular sessions with a speech therapist and a psychologist to help his communication. In this regard he applied to "PROtegni raka" for funds for the specialized therapy. The approved financial aid from the Fund is BGN 1,000.


Marina Marinova is 4 years old. She had several orthopedic operations for her cerebral palsy. These interventions were successful and the child needs to use splints to start walking. "PROtegni raka" granted BGN 1,000 for the splints and for rehabilitation procedures.


Melin Choban is 8 years old with delayed motor activity. The child can make all movements and walks with support, but needs therapy to improve his balance, muscle strength and speech. In response to the request for help, "PROtegni raka" granted a financial aid for the treatment.


Denis Mehmedova is 4 years old. She has motor development delay as a result of cerebral palsy. Thanks to an operational intervention and regular rehabilitation her condition is gradually improving and she make steps. "PROtegni raka" granted funds for more intensive therapy that will allow her progress with walking.


Anna and Teodora Dobrevi are twins at the age of 3. To make up for the delays in their motor development the children have regular rehabilitation procedures with good results. In response to their parents’ request for help, "PROtegni raka" granted a second aid for the treatment the two little girls.


Kamen Kamenov is a 4-year-old. Because of his two-side loss of hearing he has a cochlear implant, and thanks to the device his hearing has improved. The funds approved by "PROtegni raka" will be used for the maintenance of the speech processor of the implant.


Anelia Trayanova is 4 years old. As loss hearing was found the child was operated and a hearing device was implanted which improved her hearing. Her parents turned to "PROtegni raka" with a request for funds to buy rechargeable batteries and recharger for the child’s hearing aid.


Georgi Dumkov is 12 years old. After loss of hearing was found, he had a cochlear implantation, thanks to which his hearing has improved. "PROtegni raka" helped with financial aid for the maintenance of the speech processor of the implant.


Miroslav Banchev is 2 years old. Only recently it was found that the child could not hear and a hearing aid is about to be implanted. "PROtegni raka" helped with a financial aid of BGN 1,000 to buy the device.


Nedislav Peev is 9 years old with atypical autism. "PROtegni raka" helps the family by paying for speech therapy which improves the child’s development.


Georgi Bonev is 2 years old. Thanks to his medical treatment his epilepsy is under controlled. The child’s physical development is normal for his age and he already can walk. He needs therapy with a speech specialist and a psychologist to improve his speech. The parents applied to "PROtegni raka" for financial aid for the therapy.


Sava Subashev is 3-and-a-half years old, diagnosed with child autism resulting in behavioral disorders. He undergoes daily therapy with specialists – a speech therapist and a psychologist. His condition shows improvement which encourages his parents to look for ways to ensure funds for a longer therapy. They asked "PROtegni raka" for help and our Fund approved financial aid of BGN 1,000 for Sava.


Galin Stefanov is 7 years old. He has a general development disorder with reduced communication capabilities and unwillingness to communicate resulting from the disease. For his condition to improve, he needs long-term therapy with a psychologist and a speech therapist, for which "PROtegni raka" granted aid for the second time.


Stelian Stanchev is 5 years old with damaged eyesight found at an early age. The latest therapy chosen by his parents is based on Chinese medicine which seeks to cure the whole body, rather than the disease alone. The child applies for funding from the Fund for the second, as the first 4 therapy courses gave positive effects on the child’s intellectual and physical development. The funds granted by "PROtegni raka" will ensure another set of 4 therapy courses in the Asian method.
