Kiril Melev is 11 years old with neuro-psychical development delay. He has a slight limp of his left leg, but nonetheless he goes to school regularly where he is assisted by a special teacher. The child received funds from "PROtegni raka" for a tricycle that will enable him to exercise outdoors.


Ivana Krusteva is a 10-year-old girl with normal physical and mental development. Due to damage to her knee joint, she has a slight limp of her right leg. She was operated and her walk is getting better. Her parents would like to buy a specialized tricycle for exercising her limbs, for which they applied for funding from "PROtegni raka".


In 2010 6-years old Maxim Maximov was diagnosed with diabetes type І. He undergoes insulin treatment to maintain his blood sugar level. The glucose values in his blood need to be measured many times a day with special test-stripes. His parents’ request to "PROtegni raka" was for funds to buy more test-stripes since the number of test stripes provided for free by the National Health Fund is insufficient.


Bojidara i Nikola Angelovi are twins born in 2011. The girl suffers from Down’s syndrome and cerebral palsy while the boy has motive development disorder. The children are treated with regular motive, psychological and speech rehabilitation. "PROtegni raka" granted aid for the second time for both children.


Emilia Ivanova is 4 years old and has cerebral palsy. The family needs funds for her treatment. The Fund supported the child with BGN 1,000 for rehabilitation therapy.


Preslav Dimitrov is 4. He has cerebral palsy for which the child goes to rehabilitation therapy. The parents applied to "PROtegni raka" for funding for rehabilitation. The Fund approved BGN 1,000 for the purpose.


Nikol Staleva is 10 years old and has a hereditary disorder that makes it difficult for her to move. "PROtegni raka" supported her family with funds to buy an electric treadmill which the girl needs for exercising her muscles and improving her motor function.


Goergi Georgiev is 4 years old. He has been treated for his cerebral palsy from a very early age. His condition gets better thanks to the orthopedic operations and regular rehabilitation and now he needs a walker. "PROtegni raka" has approved funds for the purchase of the aiding device, as the first aid previously granted by the Fund was used for rehabilitation procedures.


Nursel Fahredin is 4 years old. She has cerebral palsy, which requires an active rehabilitation treatment. To facilitate the child’s movement, her parents need a special wheel chair. "PROtegni raka" ensured funds to buy the aiding device.


Daniel Kirilov, at the age of 2, suffers from cerebral palsy. "PROtegni raka" donated funds for the purchase of a verticalizer that will enable him to stand in a straight position of the body as well as to establish contact with the surrounding world.


Anelia Vasileva is 2 years old and needs active rehabilitation because of a spine curvature disorder and coalescence of some vertebrae. In response to her parents’ request "PROtegni raka" approved a financial aid of BGN 1,000 for her treatment.


Eva Spasova is 4 years old. Thanks to regular rehabilitation she has improved to a significant degree the motor disorders resulting from cerebral palsy. With view of her speech development, she needs active sessions with a speech therapist. To ensure additional funds for speech therapy, her parents turned for help to"PROtegni raka". The Fund supported Eva’s treatment for the second time.


Ivena Coneva is 6 years old with diagnosed genetic Down’s syndrome. Due to speech problems resulting from the disease she needs sessions with a speech therapist. The financial aid granted by "PROtegni raka" will ensure her therapy for a certain period of time.


Ivan Zhutev is 5 years old. To make progress in his psychological and speech development, a complex therapy by a speech therapist and a psychologist is needed. In response to the request for help for the child’s treatment, "PROtegni raka" granted funds for the therapy.


Daniel Karasanski is 17 years old. The boy suffers from nervous disorder as a result of which he is prone to self-injury. "PROtegni raka" helped with funds for sessions with a psychologist to manage the boy’s behavioral and emotional problems.


Anna Shopova is 2 years old with diagnosed cerebral palsy. She undergoes systematic rehabilitation which improves her motor function. The family applied to "PROtegni raka" for partial funding to buy a specialized wheel chair.


Iliyan Savov is 14 years old. His disease - hydrocephalus combined with paralysis syndrome – impairs his motor function and the boy needs a special wheel chair. Her mother turned for help to "PROtegni raka" for part of the amount for the wheel-chair. Our Fund donated BGN 1,000.


Nedialko Vasilev is 13. Because of a spine curvature disorder he needs a corset to maintain his back in the correct position, as well as of a special mattress. For this purpose the parents applied for funding from "PROtegni raka". Our Fund approved the amount of BGN 700 for the purchase of the necessary aids.
